This job was a front boundary in Hitchin. The finished work is a run of black metal railings with ball finials along the front boundary wall, and a matching pedestrian gate at the head of a block-paved path.
What was fitted
- Ball-top railings along the front boundary wall
- A matching pedestrian gate
- Square posts set in concrete
- Black finish
How railings like these are fitted
On front boundaries like this, railing uprights are either resin fixed into a sound dwarf wall or set in concrete in the ground, and the gate is hung from square posts so it swings clear of the path. Steel is galvanised and powder coated so it needs little upkeep.
