This project was a front boundary with a low brick wall and brick pier. The photos show the gate leaf on site before hanging, then the finished gate hung on square black posts at the head of the front path, and the gate and railings against the pier.
What was fitted
- A welded black ball-top pedestrian gate, made to the opening
- Square metal posts set in concrete
- Matching railing line along the front boundary
Why the gate was made to the opening
Front openings between a pier and a post are rarely a stock width. Making the gate to the measured opening means an even gap on both sides and a latch that lines up, rather than packing out a standard gate.
