This detail matters more on taller, more exposed posts carrying larger panel or gate areas, where the leverage from wind load is greatest, than on short, low-level fencing where twisting force is comparatively small.
Timing the work seasonally
Fencing and decking can be installed year-round, but ground conditions change the practicalities: concrete cures more slowly in cold weather and shouldn't be poured in a hard frost, while waterlogged winter ground makes post holes collapse before they can be set.
Late spring and summer give the most predictable digging conditions and the fastest concrete cure times, which is also when demand is highest and lead times stretch out.
Autumn and early winter bookings, ground conditions allowing, are often the quickest to schedule and let a new timber fence weather in before the following summer.
Slide bolts and staple alignment
A slide bolt needs its guide staples and keep perfectly in line along the bolt's travel, since even a slight misalignment makes the bolt bind partway rather than sliding freely, which is often mistaken for a stiff or rusted bolt.

A sacrificial timber facing fixed to the outer face of a mineral-wool-cored panel protects the weatherproofing layer beneath from UV and physical damage, and can be replaced on its own if it weathers or is damaged without disturbing the acoustic core.
This two-layer approach separates the decorative, weather-facing element from the performance-critical core, which is a different design logic from a standard fence where the visible boards are usually also the only structural element.
Reinstating turf strips damaged by tool storage
A pile of tools, offcuts or a mixing tray left in one spot on a lawn for several days can leave a yellowed, compacted patch even after the job is finished and everything is cleared away.
Moving stored items to a slightly different spot every day or two, where the site allows, spreads that pressure rather than concentrating it in a single dead patch that then needs separate attention to recover.
Where a genuinely fixed storage point is unavoidable, laying a board or matting underneath from the start protects the grass far more effectively than trying to revive a flattened patch afterwards.
